Donald Trump considers Gaza a 'large residential area'

US President Donald Trump has reiterated his desire to take control of the Gaza Strip. He considers the war-torn valley a 'big real estate site' (large residential area).

Trump said this to reporters on Sunday. "I think it is a big mistake to allow Palestinians or other people to live in Gaza," he said. We don't want Hamas to go back there. I think Gaza is a 'large residential area'.The US should take it over. We will reform it slowly, very slowly, without any haste. We will soon restore stability in the Middle East.'

According to the United Nations, 90 percent of Gaza's population has been displaced by the Israeli offensive. Many of them had to move again and again.

Donald Trump is a former real estate businessman in the United States. He described Gaza as a "devastated place" and said it would be "flattened" and "fixed".

Trump again suggested other Middle Eastern countries would house displaced Palestinians in "nice places".

US President Donald Trump held a joint press conference with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is visiting the US, at the White House on Tuesday. On that day, he first said that he would occupy Gaza. At that time, he said, "The United States will occupy the Gaza Strip and we will do something about it."

Since then, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has been praising Trump's plan. He described Trump's plan as "revolutionary and creative visionary".
